I have to admit that it did. Even the recovery was very painful.
I couldn't laugh, sneeze, use the toilet, sit, lie down, etc
without any pain involved. Had to sit on an inflatable ring for
about 3 weeks. So bloody uncomfortable. I endured 18 hours with my
first child.
With my second, the contractions came fast and furious a day before
my due date. He was born in 4 hours, can you believe it. We were
stuck in traffic at Adam Road at 9am and I thought I would give
birth in the van. By the time we got to Gleneagles, I was too far
into the labour process for any painkillers to be administered.
That kind of intense pain is unimaginable.
But as they say, the endorphins kick in and makes you "forget" the
pain so that you'll have more kids. That's why after giving birth,
my memory's not so good.
